ABC Mouse is a wonderful website that we will be using in class. Students can log in to access parts of the website for free from home. A unique password/ID was sent home for you to use to access the site from home. If you need this information again, please let me know and I will send it.
RAZ Kids is a great reading support website that we are very fortunate to have access to this year. Our class name is "hwilliamsond" and your child will have his/her own password and username. Students have access to content at their assigned level, which is changed after each running record is done (usually monthly). This site is a great way to get your child to read books. Don't forget to do the comprehension check afterwards (which are super important!).
This is a fun site that helps students practice phonics and basic reading skills. There are a lot of games on here and the students always love to play. Most of the content on the site is free; however, there are pages that are not accessible without a subscription. We do not have a subscription at this time.
This is a great site that allows students to read REAL books right from home! We have a subscription to the site. Your student will have the password and username to allow them to access all the content.
Unlike the other sites listed, this site is all about math. Students love playing the games and doing the challenges. Most of the games are free; however, there are some games that are locked without a subscription. We do not have a subscription. However, your child can still play a lot of the games on the site. They have a unique username and password that will be sent home with them for this site.
This site links your student to the reading program PWCS uses called "Benchmark Literacy". Your student has a username and password that allows them to access access reading materials and do assignments online. Students may also play a review game, read a book, or even take a practice assessment right from home!
